Build and Grow a Thriving Internal Medicine Service in Austin, Texas
Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists (VCVS) is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained veterinary internist to establish and grow a thriving Internal Medicine service within Austin’s only privately owned specialty and emergency hospital.
This opportunity is designed for an internist who wants more than simply filling a schedule. We are looking for a clinician who values thoughtful medicine, collaboration, clinical autonomy, and the ability to help shape the future of a growing specialty hospital.
Supported by a 24/7 Emergency service and an established referral network throughout Central Texas, this role offers significant opportunity to develop a robust Internal Medicine caseload from day one while building a service that reflects how you practice medicine.
If you’ve ever thought, “If I could build an Internal Medicine service my way, this is how I’d do it,” we’d love to connect.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most Internal Medicine opportunities fall into one of two categories:
Walking into an established service with little flexibility or influence
Joining a large corporate system where major decisions are made far from the exam room
VCVS offers something different. We are proud to be Austin’s only privately owned specialty and emergency hospital. Our doctors work alongside the decision-makers and have meaningful influence over how services are developed, supported, and grown.
As our Internal Medicine specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Build and grow a high-impact Internal Medicine service
Influence workflow and service development
Develop referral relationships throughout Central Texas
Collaborate closely with Surgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency clinicians
Help guide future equipment and service investments
Grow a service within one of the fastest-growing veterinary referral markets in Texas
Your voice matters here.
