Requirements

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Active California veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
• Minimum of 5 years of small animal clinical practice experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in routine soft tissue surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, cystotomies, and exploratory surgeries
• Comfortable performing advanced soft tissue surgeries independently and managing surgical cases from workup through recovery
• Strong diagnostic, medical, and surgical decision-making skills
• Ability to confidently manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision
• Commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate and build long-term client relationships
• Collaborative team player who values mentorship, mutual respect, and a positive hospital culture
• Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-service environment
