We’re growing our nursing leadership team at Penn Vet’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital — seeking a Nursing Supervisor to guide our exceptional team of Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital environment.
Whether your passion lies in critical care or inpatient medicine, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a CVT who thrives on teamwork, teaching, and clinical excellence.
As a Nursing Supervisor, you’ll:
- Support and mentor a talented nursing team providing round-the-clock patient care
- Foster collaboration between clinicians, students, and staff in a teaching-hospital setting
- Lead with compassion, organization, and calm under pressure
- Play a key role in advancing patient care and veterinary education at one of the nation’s top teaching hospitals
Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain
- VTS (ECC) certification preferred, or a strong desire to pursue specialty certification
- Minimum of 5 years of veterinary nursing experience, with at least 2 years in ICU or inpatient settings
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of critical care procedures, monitoring, and equipment
- Experience in an academic or specialty hospital setting preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
