About Our Practice
Village Green Animal Hospital is a privately-owned, family-oriented practice where work-life balance isn't just a talking point—it's how we operate. Since opening in 2011, we've built a collaborative, supportive environment where veterinarians can practice excellent medicine without the pressure and burnout that's become too common in this profession.
We're housed in a historical home with a parking lot, garage, and yard—it feels welcoming rather than sterile. Our team knows clients by their first names, we celebrate accomplishments together, and we maintain the kind of low-turnover, long-term staff that signals a healthy workplace. Dr. Patiola, our owner, loves surgery and is flexible and open to new techniques. And he values work-life balance.
Now, as we grow, we're adding another veterinarian who values autonomy, quality patient care, and a practice culture built on respect and collaboration.
What Your Day Looks Like
Your Workday:
Small animal practice with a focus on quality care
Modern equipment: digital radiography, in-house blood analyzers, anesthesia monitoring, dental equipment, surgical tools, standard diagnostic equipment
Experienced, collaborative support staff who've been here for years
Clinical collaboration with other area clinics when you need a second opinion
Support from reception, vet assistants, and a team that genuinely likes working together
4 day work week with no emergency or on call hours.
What You'd Be Doing:
Building long-term relationships with clients in a practice where clients are known by their first name
Routine surgery with opportunities to develop your surgical skills
Wellness exams, sick pet visits, and comprehensive small animal medicine
Making autonomous medical decisions with appropriate clinical support
Growing professionally through continued training and CE opportunities
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $130,000-$160,000 (based on experience), with no negative accrual on 20% production.

Medical insurance (stipend provided; you may need to secure your own plan, but we help cover it)

Relocation expenses if you're coming from out of town
