As a registered technician, you are a member of the veterinary surgery team. You’ll be trusted to provide exceptional veterinary care underthe direction of veterinarians. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with a close team, loves a fast-paced environment, and enjoys providing compassionate care to animals.
Working at the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center is more than surgery, it's
saving and impacting the lives of homeless and owned dogs and cats in the TriValley.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in veterinary medicine, patient care, medical assessments, and anesthetic monitoring, while personally contributing to positive lifesaving outcomes for the animals you support.
Requirements
California Licensed Veterinary Technician
Experience in veterinary surgery, including spaying and neutering. Shelter medicine experience is a plus. 
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment: 
 
Regular sitting at a computer station and operating electronic equipment. 
Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing ladders. 
Exposure to disinfectant solutions when in the kennel and facility area. 
Understanding of cat and dog body language and the ability to handle them effectively. 
Subject to animal bites and scratches while handling animals. 
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation. 
Consistent exposure to animals in the workplace and animal allergens.

Strong computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems.
